Are you a home care service?

No. Honeydew is a home maintenance and wellness service — we focus on the home itself and he all things related. We are not a medical provider, not caregivers, and we never replace family care or professional home health services. What we do is make sure the home is safe, functional, and well-maintained — so staying independent stays possible.

What’s included in a typical visit?

Every visit includes a full safety walkthrough — smoke and CO detectors, fall hazards, plumbing, filters, and system checks — plus minor repairs handled on the spot and a written photo report sent within 24 hours. What changes by plan is frequency and the included services on top of that. Home Steward adds quarterly visits, vendor coordination, priority scheduling, and an annual AC/HVAC tune-up by a certified technician. Family Concierge adds visits every 6 weeks, a second annual service (water heater flush and plumbing inspection), seasonal gutter cleaning, contractor meet-and-access, storm prep, mail checks while traveling, and more.

How do you communicate with family?

Only with the homeowner’s permission. If the homeowner designates a family contact, we send a plain-language visit summary after each appointment — what we checked, what we handled, and any recommendations going forward. No medical information is ever collected or shared. The homeowner is always in control of who receives updates and what they see.

Can the homeowner be there during visits?

Absolutely — and we love when they are. Our technicians walk through the visit together with the homeowner, explain what they’re checking and why, and welcome questions. Many of our clients sit with us, share a cup of coffee, and have a real conversation through the visit. If the homeowner isn’t home, we coordinate access with whoever they designate.

Is this only for the Senior community?

Our independent living plans are built specifically around the needs of older homeowners aging in place and individuals with independent living needs — safety-focused, family-connected, and built to make staying home easier. But Honeydew also serves busy families and working homeowners who want proactive home care without the hassle of managing it themselves. If your home needs a consistent, trustworthy partner, we’re a fit.

What if I just want a one-time visit?

Start with a Home Wellness Visit. We do a full walkthrough of every major system, give you an honest written report, and let you decide if a membership makes sense. The visit is $175 standalone — or $75 when you sign up for any monthly plan, and free with annual billing. No pressure either way.

What does it cost?

  • Essentials — $39/mo · 2 visits per year (Spring & Fall) · Safety walkthroughs, system checks, written report, $25 repair credits per visit
  • Home Steward — $75/mo · 4 quarterly visits · Everything in Essentials plus annual HVAC tune-up by a certified technician, vendor coordination, and priority scheduling
  • Family Concierge — $199/mo · Visits every 6 weeks · Everything in Home Steward plus water heater flush, seasonal gutter cleaning, contractor meet-and-access, storm prep, mail/package checks, and more

All plans include $25 in repair credits per visit — they never expire while your membership is active.

Do the repair (Honeydew) credits expire?

No — as long as your membership is active, your credits carry over and never expire. Credits apply toward any repair or handyman work we perform.

Can I cancel anytime?

Monthly memberships — cancel anytime with 30 days written notice. No penalty.

Annual memberships — if you cancel within the first 30 days, we’ll refund your membership in full. However, because annual billing includes a complimentary Home Wellness Visit (a $175 value), that assessment fee will be charged at cancellation if the visit has already been completed. After 30 days, annual memberships are non-refundable for the current billing year, but you can cancel renewal at any time so you’re never auto-charged for the next year.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Honeydew holds a Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) registration and carries $1M in general liability coverage. We are also members of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and certified through Age Safe America as a Senior Home Safety Specialist. All technicians are background-checked and vetted before entering any home.

What areas do you serve?

We currently serve Delaware County, PA and parts of Chester County, PA (West Chester and surrounding). We are actively expanding into the rest of Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties. Check our Service Area page for the current zip code list, or call us — if you’re just outside our current boundary, we may still be able to help.

How is Honeydew different from a regular Handyman?

A handyman shows up when something’s already broken. Honeydew shows up on a schedule — before things break. We document your home over time, catch problems early, handle the small stuff so it never becomes expensive, and keep your family informed along the way. It’s preventive care for your home, not just on-demand repair.

How do I know if Honeydew is right for my parent?

If your parent wants to stay in their home independently but you worry about things slipping — a safety hazard, a deferred repair, something going unnoticed between your visits — Honeydew is built exactly for that situation. We become a consistent, trusted presence in the home, and we keep you informed without taking over. Many of our members’ families tell us the biggest change is simply being able to stop worrying.

Do you work with geriatric care managers or home health agencies?

Yes — we actively partner with care managers, home health agencies, and elder care coordinators. If you’re a professional supporting a client who needs home maintenance oversight alongside their care plan, we’d love to connect. Reach out directly at service@honeydewpartners.com.

What if something comes up in between visits?

Call or text us. Members get priority access and we’ll do our best to respond quickly. Urgent repairs outside your scheduled visits are handled at member rates, and your repair credits apply.
